Tickets now on sale for the London Concours
The City of London's 'automotive garden party' returns for its second year at the Honourable Artillery Company, and includes Ferrari F50 and the Beast of Turin
Tickets are now on sale for the London Concours, the 'automotive garden party' held in the City of London – this year on 7-8 June.
The event made its debut last year, as the City Concours. For 2018 it's renamed but follows the same format, taking place on a Thursday and Friday in the heart of London's financial district, at the superb Honourable Artillery Company, with top-level classic and supercars displayed in the grounds of the venue.
This year the theme is a celebration of speed, gathering a specially curated selection of more than 80 of the quickest cars ever created. These include:
- The land speed record 1911 Fiat S76, known as ‘The Beast of Turin’, capable of 135mph
- A 1950s Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing
- A Ferrari F50, the 1990s flagship of the Ferrari range, capable of 203mph
- The carbonfibre-bodied Pagani Huayra, with its 230mph top speed
Many UK specialists, including Stratstone, JD Classics and Nicholas Mee, will be hosting special features and displays. The JD Classics features will include an ‘Investment Conference’ discussing historic vehicles as 'a uniquely enjoyable investment, and the fastest appreciating asset class of the last 10 years'.
Although the cars will be the focal point of the event, the London Concours also focusses on the luxury market, with high-end food, champagne, watches and art. The venue is close to Bank, the Barbican and London icons such as The Gherkin, with the cars displayed on what is often referred to as 'the world’s second most valuable cricket pitch'.
Andrew Evans, London Concours Managing Director, said: 'We’ll have a line-up of vehicles at the London Concours spanning 120 years, but there’s a common theme among them: the desire to go faster. This collection of vehicles sits at the heart of the event, but with our unique JD Classics Investment Conference and displays from a number of our luxury partners like Stratstone and Nicholas Mee, the London Concours with become a real destination for the local City residents and workers.'
Tickets to the London Concours are available here, with a full day adult admission ticket costing £35, and concessions from £18.
