Nick Wigley, Event Director comments: ‘This new Supercar Legends celebration really is the best of both worlds. Visitors get to see the most exciting and celebrated machines from past eras together with some of today’s greatest creations; the classics of the future… all in one great big mouth-watering gathering. It’s going to be something very special that I’m sure will evolve into yet another of the many, many crowd-pleasing highlights at the annual Silverstone Classic.’
What’s in the showcase?
Koenigsegg will be brandishing their astonishing 249mph Agera from the firms current line-up, along with the equally extreme CCX. Joining the hyper car giant, Pagani will be lining up their Huayra next to its predecessor, the striking Zonda.
TVR will be prominent on the stand as well, with the all-new Griffith designed by esteemed designer Gordon Murray joining the fray, having continuously wowed the public since its unveiling last year. The company’s original 60s Griffith will be joining its modern day ancestor to demonstrate the provenance of the British brand.
Several more mainstream manufacturers join the specialists, including Ford with their technological marvel, the all-new GT. The company’s previous homage to the GT40 Le Mans winner will also share the spotlight.
Honda will bring two generations of the radical NSX, known for Ayrton Senna’s involvement with the development process. Lexus will follow suit with their latest LC500 in addition to the F1 inspired LF-A from the turn of the last decade.
Visitors on Saturday will be treated to an unmissable 3D supercar experience, with the intoxicating line-up being fired up for a memorable parade lap of the full Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.
