Peter Vardy Heritage opens Edinburgh showroom
Scottish dealer group Peter Vardy has unveiled a new Heritage showroom in the Scottish capital
A new showroom devoted to classic cars has been unveiled on Seafield Road East in Edinburgh, occupying the old Peter Vardy BMW dealership.
The showroom has display space for ten cars. Vehicles on display currently include an Aston Martin DB2/4, with historic Mercedes, Porsches, BMWs, Bentley and Rolls-Royce amongst others. Peter Vardy Heritage will hold a further 50 vehicles in stock, ranging from £5000 to £240,000, alongside an assortment of classic car memorabilia.
Johnny Kildare, franchise director, originally sought a dedicated, premium space where Peter Vardy Heritage could showcase the marques on offer. Inhabiting the 300 square meter showroom originally housing the group’s old BMW Mini dealership, you can now find a variety of pristine showroom models dating back to the 1940s – alongside additional services for customers with a beloved classic.
‘With a dedicated facility, Peter Vardy Heritage truly offers something unique and is a must see for anyone with a passion for cars from a by-gone era.
‘This will also allow us to detail, valet and service our classic cars on site. Classic car maintenance and servicing is something we can now offer to enthusiasts through this dealership’.
As the market for classic cars north of the border continues to grow, Peter Vardy Heritage has already received enquiries for certain cars from all over the world, offering an international shipping service which has already proven to be immensely popular.
Local resident, business owner and Jaguar enthusiast Ching Hung-Tan believes the move will heighten the number of high-end cars gracing Edinburgh’s roads.
‘While the city has a number of specialists, it is only now that we are getting a brand with enough kudos to bring those with money but little knowledge out to enjoy classic ownership.’
Peter Vardy, chief executive, explained 'Classic cars are proving to be fantastic investments and our heritage business has been so popular since we opened a year ago that we are hoping this new dealership will really take us to the next level.'
