New Land Rover show at Bicester Heritage
70 years of Land Rover will be celebrated in May 2018 with a landmark new event at Bicester Heritage
In celebration of the marque’s 70th anniversary, a brand new Land Rover Legends showcase event will be held in May next year at Bicester Heritage.
Set for May 26-27 2018, the Legends events will feature both cars and people that have been influential in the company’s history.
The cars on display will cover the whole of the marque’s history from the Series 1 that was first launched in 1948.
Examples of original vehicles, renovated and restored cars, including prototype and pre-production vehicles plus production models, rare conversions, military derivatives and bespoke conversions are all expected.
Forums and presentations will allow fans to learn more from experts well-known for their involvement with the vehicles, either as engineers and designers, users in a variety of situations such as exploration and adventure, and preservationists.
The event will also include static displays of important Land Rovers and a concours. Land Rover Optional and Special Equipment displays will also be present, showing the level of bespoke options that can be fitted to both historic and contemporary models.
All Land Rovers attending can be part of the show, while Land Rover car clubs will be invited to display vehicles.
Tickets for the new showcase event will go on sale in January.
