Hagerty valuations at Bicester Heritage Sunday Scrambles
Bicester Heritage has announced a new, three-year deal with classic car insurance specialist Hagerty, as partner for the popular Sunday Scramble events
As the new exclusive insurance partner, Hagerty will host the increasingly admired Sunday Scramble’s valuation arena, with a team of classic experts providing valuation guidance with bespoke certificates for the enthusiasts participating.
This new deal will also find Hagerty support risk assessment and insurance requirements for the Bicester Heritage team, offering services and support to over 35 businesses residing within the historic motoring hub.
Previous Sunday Scrambles have seen the Hagerty valuation team scrutinise and examine rare and exceptional classics from all decades, from an Alpina BMW B9 to an Austin Allegro, Range Rover Classics and Datsun 240Z, amid the likes of American GMC Trucks and a Riley 9 Special.
The cost per valuation to each owner goes straight to charity, with over £1000 raised for the likes of the Air Ambulance and the Marshal’s Trust.
'Bicester Heritage is such a focal point for any classic car enthusiast, so we are delighted to partner with the team and support their events, help their tenants and devise new and exciting content with them,' explained Angus Forsyth, Hagerty’s International Managing Director.
'We expect the partnership will initially add value to the Bicester tenants and attendees of the Sunday Scramble events, but as we develop more content and ideas with the team at Bicester, we strongly believe that there will be a much broader appeal to the classic car community. We also look forward to learning about the exciting developments at Bicester Heritage and sharing this information with our global database of terrific clients.'
Daniel Geoghegan, Managing Director of Bicester Heritage, added: 'Over the past five years, we have enjoyed an excellent working partnership with Hagerty not just across events but also as very impressed clients; we had no hesitation in wishing to build on these strong foundations.
'As well as supporting our mission to revolutionise the classic car ownership experience, Hagerty’s innovative spirit and genuine enthusiasm for motoring represents a strong cultural fit with Bicester Heritage. Together we look forward to enhancing the classic car community.'
Bicester Heritage and Hagerty Classic Insurance will host the next Sunday Scramble on 'Drive It Day', April 22. You can purchase tickets on the gate, alongside access to Hagerty's Valuation Arena, or buy a pass through the Bicester Heritage official website.

The decision was taken in 1950 to develop a Bentley motor car capable of producing high maximum speeds ideal for Continental touring on the long straight roads of Europe.
