‘To amp up the anticipation surrounding The Quail, we are featuring four new classes for car enthusiasts from around the world to enjoy,’ said Gordon McCall, Director of Motorsports for The Peninsula Signature Events. ‘Guests of the show will be delighted to see a remarkable selection of cars that represent the Italian and German perspectives of automotive excellence.’

‘The Great Lancias’ class will play host to the marques most coveted rally icons, including a 1974 Stratos HF Group IV, a 1955 Aurelia B24S and a 1988 Delta Intergrale 8V. The ‘50th Anniversary of the Espada & Islero’ class will showcase two of Lamborghini’s most perennial V12 powered touring cars, with the 2+2 Espada specifically becoming one of the Raging Bull’s best-selling models. 21 of these phenomenal vehicles will be displayed half a century after their joint debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

The list continues with a celebration of German automotive history and legacy with ’70 Years of the Iconic Porsche 356’ class. A range of the company’s first production sports cars will feature, including a 1951 356 Pre-A Split Window, a 1958 356 A Speedster, a 1965 356 C Coupe and a range of other influential cars from the world renowned marque.

German innovation will be taken care of via ‘The Alois Ruf Reunion’, offering a selection of sports cars from the intoxicating Pfaffenhausen manufacturer and tuner. Having been freshly restored by Ruf themselves, the 1988 CTR ‘Yellow Bird’ #001 will feature next to the all-new 710 horsepower CTR, which will be making its North American debut. Other revered models being shown include the CTR2 and RCT amongst others.

These recently appointed classes will be complemented by the well versed pre- and post-war classes, creating an extraordinary line-up to grace the lawns of Quail Lodge & Golf Club. Attendees will be invited to the Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction, occurring concurrently on the Quail Lodge Farm Field.
