Two new Ferrari Museum exhibitions mark Enzo Ferrari anniversary
Maranello collection pays tribute to company’s famous founder with two new exhibitions tracing illustrious history of the man and his cars
To mark the 120th anniversary of the birth of Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari, two new exhibitions showcasing the man and his cars have been added to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.
The exhibitions are titled Driven by Enzo, and Passion and Legend. They are intended to retrace the many developments in style and technology through the company’s history. The exhibitions will be at the museum in Italy until May next year.

The exhibitions also feature two interactive stations, allowing visitors to discover the most important 2+2 cars in the company’s history as well as to take a virtual tour of Ferrari’s modern-day production facilities.
Driven by Enzo showcases the four-seater models driven personally by Enzo Ferrari – who passed away 30 years ago aged 90. The Ferrari founder would personally try out every car produced at Maranello, and he had a particular attachment to four-seaters – partly due to their added comfort, but also so he could ferry around his illustrious visitors.
His passion for these cars began with the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT 2+2, and continued for the rest of his life with the 400 GTi, the 412, and finally the Ferrari 456 GT that he personally approved in 1988. Even when he decided to employ a chauffeur in 1969, the latter often ended up a passenger and travel companion to the great man.
Passion and Legend, meanwhile, traces the story of Enzo and his company through seven decades of the most beautiful cars. This exhibition includes the 166 Inter of 1948 – the first Ferrari mainly for road use – the 250 GT Berlinetta ‘Tdf’ of 1956 and the Dino 246. It carries on through to the cars of today, such as the F12tdf, a special limited series, and the 812 Superfast, the company’s highest-performing road car.
