Donington Historic Festival tickets now on sale
Save money by buying advance tickets for 2018's bigger and better Donington Historic Festival. You know you want to be there!
Tickets for the 2018 Donington Historic Festival have now gone on sale, with advanced tickets costing from £10 for Friday practice and up to £34 for full-weekend access.
The Festival will run from May 4-6 and features nine decades of motorsport including single-seaters and pre-War sports cars, Le Mans prototypes, GT cars, touring cars and SuperTourers.
As part of the celebrations for its 60th anniversary, Formula Junior will feature as well as the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy for pre-1956 sportscars.
GT and Sports Car Cup races will feature pre-66 GTs and pre-63 sportscars of a type that raced in the period World Endurance Championship. Pre-50, pre-66 and pre-91 touring cars will all feature also.
With an open paddock meaning spectators will be able to get close to all entrants, they will be a part of, what Donington is labelling, a ‘living motor museum’.
The circuit itself is currently under a multi-million pound renovation following its purchase by Jonathan Palmer’s MotorSport Vision Group, which also owns Brands Hatch, Snetterton, Oulton Park, Bedford Autodrome and Cadwell Park in the UK.
As part of the investment, Donington’s blue and white circuit kerbing and barrier paint scheme will change to MSV’s customary red, black and white. Also new restaurant, toilet and office facilities will be built plus the addition of a grandstand on the outside of Hollywood corner.
Duncan Wiltshire, managing director of Historic Promotions, said 'We are hugely excited to be staging DHF in 2018 in partnership with MSV. The new developments can only be beneficial for Donington Park, and with a fantastic racing programme already taking shape, the 2018 Donington Historic Festival should be something rather special!'
Chris York, the Donington Park venue manager, added: 'Since its launch in 2011, the Donington Historic Festival has become a much-loved and important fixture on our race calendar. We’ll be working more closely than ever before with the Historic Promotions team on the event, and have a huge number of venue improvements planned, so we’re confident the 2018 edition will be the best Festival yet!'
For pre-90 classic cars that are attending but not as part of a registered club, owners can request a free infield display parking pass when they book their tickets.
