This Classic Porsche 930 Limo is a White Elephant
Converted into a 'slantnose' limo, this classic Porsche 930 project is about as unconventional as it gets
Limousines used to be a real status symbol, particularly in America, used by the rich and famous to make an entrance. These white luxury land-yachts would be moored outside the most extravagant restaurants and exclusive premieres during the 1980s and ‘90s, however, their social status has now been eroded by hire companies and hen parties.

With the streets awash with white Lincolns on Friday evenings now, how is one to arrive fashionably late to the chosen venue of the socialites? How about in a stretch-limo Porsche? Hardcore Porsche fans cover your eyes, because this project car found on Craigslist and reported by The Drive might offend.
What we appear to have here is a 930 Porsche 911 convertible ‘Slantnose’ that has been butchered and turned into a limousine. While it is a waste of a 911 whatever way you frame it, the car has thankfully been disclosed as a 930 Speedster with a ‘Slantnose bodykit’. Put down your pitchforks and extinguish the torches, this is NOT a rare 1 of 948 Slantnose special order cars.
According to the advert, the Slantnose conversion was actually done using genuine parts, and to be fair to its creator, looks convincing. The chassis and convertible roof has been lengthened substantially and connects back up to the original rear of this 930. However, something missing from the rump of this Porsche is its signature 3.3-liter flat-six engine and the connecting manual transmission. Without a heart transplant, this classic Porsche isn’t going anywhere, but looking at the picture, that appears to have been the case for a while.
We’re not sure how much use this Porsche limo really is to anyone outside of the chauffeur industry, but we guess those 930 Slantnose parts could be plucked, along with any other original parts.
Love it or loath it, this 911 Limousine is looking for a new home.
