Blenheim serves up a supercar treat for breakfast

Top marques’ attendance confirmed as historic Oxfordshire venue launches all-new Supercars At The Palace Breakfast Club, to be held on Sunday May 6

Horsepower junkies of all ages will thrill at the opportunity to get up close and personal with the 130-plus classic and contemporary supercars that’ll be on display at next month’s Supercars At The Palace, to be staged at Blenheim Palace.

Seen as a warm-up act for the venue’s huge annual Classic & Supercar event, which will be held later in the year, May’s Breakfast Club will see entries divided into four categories of at least 30 cars each:

Best of British

Featuring four McLaren 720S hypercars and ten Aston Martins ranging from a 1968 DB6 Volante to the latest Vantage V12 AMR

Forza Italia

Sees a raft of Maranello classics, spanning the decades between a 1970 Ferrari 365GTC/4 and the latest 2018 488 Spider. A 1977 Lamborghini Silhouette will be among the machines representing the Sant’Agata marque

Porsche Performance

Celebrating 70 years of the much-loved German sports car brand, this class will feature a timeline of icons ranging from the beautiful 356 to the awesome new 991.2 GT3

Audi’s V10 Plus and BMW’s i8 will be among the gems further representing Germany here, alongside American muscle cars such as the GT 720 Mirage and Mustang GT500 from Ford.

McLaren, which will also show off two models from its Special Operations Division, is among the first-time manufacturer attendees at Blenheim. Meanwhile, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will be promoting its 593bhp V12-powered Dawn Black Badge edition.

The newly relaunched Alpine brand will appear with two examples of the A110, which was inspired by the original rally-conquering A110 Berlinette, and David Brown Automotive will be on hand with its 601bhp supercharged V8 Speedback Silverstone Edition (below) as well as its Mini Remastered contemporary interpretation of the classic icon.

Horsepower fans will also see performance cars from the likes of Alfa Romeo, Dendrobium, Bentley, Gumpert, Honda, Bristol, Jaguar, Shelby, Nissan, Jensen, Maserati and Lotus.

Meanwhile, the Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar will be held on Sunday September 2, 2018. It will host more than 1000 automobiles, as well as the UK’s only concours for modern classics, the Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition. More information can be found here.
