If you love classics, Bicester's Sunday Scramble is a must. From iconic hatchbacks to historic grand prix racers, the last event of 2018 didn't disappoint
The Bicester Heritage site is a wonderfully vibrant place for anyone with a love of classic cars. Working out of the ex-bomber base are skilled craftspeople expertly restoring, modifying, polishing, and race preparing some fantastic vehicles.
On your average day you’ll hear the transmission whine of vintage cars or the feverish idle of grand prix racers. The Sunday Scramble is a great opportunity for the public to come to Bicester and share in their enthusiasm for cars and display their own. Last weekend was the final event of the year, and it proved to be a record breaker.

F1 fans received a surprise when the Mercedes AMG F1 team wheeled out Lewis Hamilton’s 2015 Austin Grand Prix car. It was fired up and revved, thrilling the large crowd that had gathered. This car earned 7 wins, 6 poles and 11 podiums throughout its F1 season.
Dan Geoghegan, Managing Director of Bicester Heritage, said: “It was the perfect family Scramble that exemplifies the broad church that Bicester Heritage has become. The range of motorcars was staggering, from the Phantom I chassis driven here to a Citroen BX GTi, all amidst the perfect backdrop and blue skies, providing an ambient hubbub for enthusiasts and neighbours alike.
