Auto Italia 2018 tickets on sale now!

The 33rd annual Italian Car Day is set for the Brooklands Museum on Saturday May 5. Advanced tickets are now available

More than 6500 visitors attended last year’s Auto Italia at Brooklands, and the latest staging of the UK’s largest gathering of Italian cars has now been planned for May 5, 2018. Open to owners of all marques from Alfa Romeo and Lancia to Bianchi and DeTomaso, the Italian Car Day is expected to be the largest of its kind outside of Italy.

The show is already a must-do event on the classic car calendar, and it also marks a milestone for the Brooklands Museum itself. With recent improvements to the venue’s infrastructure, Auto Italia will see the opening of the restored Bellman Hangar. This will free up much-needed display space, and also enable a new, uninterrupted view of the legendary former racetrack start and finish straight from the paddock – all the way up the banking.

The restored hangar is now home to the Aircraft Factory, which houses a vast display of part-restored aircraft and artefacts – including a P1127 Harrier prototype suspended from the ceiling.

Also new for Auto Italia this year is a dedicated entrance for all Alfa Romeo and Abarth owners via Brooklands’ prestigious office buildings, The Heights. You can expect the likes of Alfa’s GTV6 and Abarth’s dinky original 500, some of the finest automotive offerings to leave Turin, to be gracing the gates on the day.

All Italian car owners are highly recommended to pre-book for discounted entry tickets. This can be done through the official Brooklands website. In addition to cheaper tickets, Italian cars arriving via the Brooklands Road entrance will receive fast-track entry. It’s not an exclusive event, however – parking for non-Italian marques is provided via Mercedes-Benz World next door.

Unlike many static car shows, Auto Italia features an action-packed programme demonstrating the abilities of Italy’s finest. Besides Tarmac-abusing racers and all manner of yesteryear’s heroes taking to the Mercedes-Benz World circuit, those of a braver stature will get the chance to tackle the infamously challenging Test Hill…

The theme for 2018’s event and track entry is Supercars and Italian Classics, while the Test Hill entry is open to all Italian cars but must be pre-booked. While some spaces may be available on the day, booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Owners of eligible cars are invited to apply for consideration to Phil Ward at

AutoClassics will certainly be present. See you there!
