Rare 1-of-2 1975 Cadillac Eldorado Wagon seeking new home

Only two of these factory option station wagons are said to have ever been made, and the owner is not letting his go for cheap

A Cadillac described as 'as rare as they come' recently showed up on eBay, and it’s an usual site. This 1975 Cadillac Eldorado Station Wagon, said to be one of only two, was recently for sale for a hefty price tag of $25,000 for anyone who wanted to take it home.

The option to order an Eldorado in this form was available through only a select few dealers, and the price for the option was a major cost when it was available from 1968-'75. After a buyer would place their request, the Eldorado was taken from assembly line to factory authorized shop WISCO, to become customized with the option.

The current owner is a private collector who seeks out the rare and interesting models, but states that he’s never run across anything like this. He offers that 'I've been going to Cadillac car shows for decades and I had never seen another one so when I saw this one I had to grab it. However the time has come to pass it on.'

For 1975, only two orders were placed, and only about 20 were made in total during the 1986-'75 run when the wagons were offered. How many of these 20, or out of the two for that matter, still exist and are in running order, is a near unanswerable question but it's probably very few. Add to this it being a front-wheel drive car with a massive 500ci engine, and it’s a car you can’t compare to much else.

Naturally, the interior is pretty swanky, and very much what you would expect from a 1970s Caddy. It’s clad with leather seats, power features, and a factory eight track radio.
