The early 2000s were absolutely fantastic for Acura.

The Acura brand was launched in the United States and Canada in 1986 as a more luxurious take on Honda cars. The Japanese premium brand started its business marketing luxury, performance, and high-performance vehicles - and its engineering prowess from the 1990s and early 2000s is something people talk about even today.

Case in point - a guy named Tyson Hugie, who is a passionate collector of nearly everything Acura. He has a YouTube channel where he uploads short reviews of the cars he currently owns. Motor1.com already featured three of his machines - an NSX, GS-R, and Legend, and today we bring you yet another awesome Acura.

This time around, the video details a 2000 RL with approximately 212,000 miles on the odometer. If you’ve watched Hugie’s previous videos, you are probably aware that this guy likes to keep his cars in perfect condition - and this one is no different despite its high mileage.

His family first bought the car for his mother in 2005 when it had just 23,000 miles on it. Through the years, it’s been passed through his uncle and cousin before returning 14 years later with 209,000 miles.

Compared to the other excellent Acuras from Hugie, the interior of this one appears to be in a need of some work. The driver’s seat plastic trim is broken and the leather on the front seats has surely seen better days. Under the hood, however, the silky smooth 3.5-liter V6 engine looks to be in fantastic shape.

More cool videos are definitely coming from Tyson Hugie and we can’t wait to see what other beautiful Acuras and Hondas he owns. Stay tuned!
