In 2019 Morgan will celebrate its 110th anniversary – making it one of the oldest car manufacturers in the world – and are launching a trio of special editions to celebrate

The Morgan Motor Company is one of the oldest car manufacturers in the world, celebrating its 110th anniversary next year. It has survived tough competition, world wars, and threats from the modern age, but in a quintessentially British manner, Morgan has kept calm and carried on. In preparation for its special birthday, Morgan has revealed a trio of ‘110 Anniversary’ special edition models.

Each of Morgan’s hand-built cars is available with the 110 Anniversary treatment, which includes a front valance, rear exit sports exhaust and leather bonnet strap. There are also new colours to choose from that have been inspired by popular shades of the past.

The ‘Classic Range’ and ‘Metallic Range’ of paints have been selected by Morgan’s design team to further enhance the looks of these British Sports cars. In the cockpit of Plus 4 and Roadster models you’ll find a wood rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel, performance seats, a mohair hood pack and any choice of Yarwood leather. The 3-Wheeler gets its roll hoops and exhaust shield finished in black.

Despite the added extras, upgrading to a 110 Anniversary model for each of the three special edition Morgans won’t cost a penny extra. The Plus 4 comes with £8,700 of extras, a Roadster gets £8,000 worth of goodies, and the 3-Wheeler another £3,300 worth of trimmings.

Steve Morris, Managing Director at Morgan said: “It is an immense pleasure and an honour to lead the Morgan Motor Company as we approach such a significant milestone in our history. We are delighted to be thriving as a privately owned, British, family owned automotive manufacturer, and in our 110th year of business are stronger than ever.”

Morgan has indicated its trio of new editions is only the beginning of its 110th anniversary celebrations, with more surprises in store in 2019.
