The Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace is a 'must-see' event for fans of rare classics. Save the date for the 2019 event

A concours isn’t simply a collection of well-polished cars on display. Cars entering such an event are not only well presented on the outside, but an immense amount of work goes into restoration and preserving provenance happens under the skin. One of the UK’s most prestigious concours events, the Concours of Elegance, returns for 2019.

2019 Concours of Elegance dates announced

To be hosted in the opulent grounds of Hampton Court Palace in the UK once again, the 2019 Concours of Elegance will take place on Friday 6th September to Sunday 8th September — providing a nice build-up to the Goodwood Revival.

This year’s event was again nominated for ‘Motoring Event of the Year’ at the Historic Motoring Awards — the seventh time in a row. When you look at what’s on offer at the Concours it’s unsurprising that it has gained such fame. As well as having the support of major car manufacturers such as Ferrari, McLaren, and Aston Martin, the event also has HRH Prince Michael of Kent as its patron.

Andrew Evans, Concours of Elegance Director, said: “In just seven short years, the Concours of Elegance has grown into a truly global event that the UK can be proud of, spoken about in the same breath as the likes of Pebble Beach and Villa d’Este. When you consider those events have been running for nearly seventy years and ninety years, respectively, you can see what a success story our event is.”

The 2019 installment of the Concours of Elegance is shaping up to be as spectacular as prior years. Tickets will soon go on sale via the Concours of Elegance website.
