One of the Miuras owned by Rod Stewart during the 1970s is to be offered for sale by RM Sotheby's in London – how much do you reckon it well go for?
One of the Lamborghini Miuras once owned by Rod Stewart is to offered for sale in London in September, as part of the RM Sotheby's auction at Battersea Evolution.
The 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 S, chassis no. 4863, was delivered new to Rod Stewart in 1971 by Lamborghini Concessionaires of Alie Street, London. The car comes with a file including all the car’s original records from the dealership is included in the sale, together with the original delivery note that denotes the car’s original specification with right-hand drive, factory air conditioning, and seatbelts.
It also comes with the photo shown here of Stewart’s then-girlfriend, model Dee Harrington, pictured with the Miura in question, registration JLL 831K, and one of the other Miuras owned by Rod Stewart at the same time.
The records of the Miura's ownership, after Rod Stewart sold it, is complete, and shows more than two decades with a single enthusiast. it's recently undergone a €300,000 restoration by Lamborghini’s in-house classic restoration department, Polo Storico.
It will also be on public display before the sale, at the Salon Privé Concours d’Elegance at Blenheim Palace, 30 August to 1 September.
