Apart from being one of the founder members of the General Motors group, Chevrolet has become an American legend - as American as Stars and Stripes and apple pie. For many years the 'Chevy' has duelled with its American arch-rival Ford and has always produced the mainstay cars and light trucks for GM.
Although most Chevrolet models have been workmanlike, no-frills models there have been some impressive exceptions such as the 1955-57 'Tri-Chevy' model range, the Corvette, Camaro and Blazer 4x4 models. Today the Chevrolet brand continues to grow, developing its reputation for reliable and honest products.
