This 1960 Plus 4 has just arrived with us and presents an excellent opportunity to purchase a left-hand drive vehicle, fitted with disc brakes and wire wheels from new.
It has a TR4 engine with twin Strombergs and tubular exhaust and with the recent addition of a fully rebuilt engine (using 87mm pistons and liners to give 2186cc) and Moss gearbox, it's still running in.
The body and chassis are in excellent order, as the car was bought from USA by the current owner two years ago. It's as clean underneath as on top, with many new nuts, bolts, slave cylinders etc in evidence.
It drives extremely well. The seats have been correctly re-trimmed in leather. The dash is totally original and adds a nice element of patina to remind you that this is a 57-year old car - all the instruments work as they should and the hood and sidescreens are as-new.
The car is UK registered and taxed, and has an MoT to 23 March 2018.
The Morgan Factory Heritage Certificate shows that chassis 4728 was completed and test driven during the week of 12 December 1960, to USA specification, in Westminster Green with black leather upholstery, wire wheels and disc brakes. It was despatched on 4 Jan 1961 to Fergus Imports of New York - and it carries the Fergus Imports plate on the bulkhead.
