2,689 ACTUAL MILES!! Yes, this car is believed to be possibly the lowest mile 1965 Falcon in existence. It has been inspected by 2 mid 60s Falcon experts and they firmly believe the miles to be true. Our team has come to the same conclusion.
An elderly man in PA bought it new. It got its first oil change in 1971 with only 1,322 miles. It was obviously not used and kept well protected for decades. Recently a local collector purchased the car with 2,346 miles. He has it dialed in cosmetically and mechanically. Ready for use- show and go.
EXTERIOR: Impressive condition, great color. The body is absolutely pristine, has zero rust, damage, or dents. Every panel fits exactly as it did from the factory. You can close all four doors and the trunk with one finger. Mostly still factory paint. It still shows really well with just the right amount of original patina. The original weather strips put on with yellow glue and a brush at the factory is still in great shape. All the original Ford glass is excellent. The original chrome, stainless and anodized trim is practically new looking. I love the tail lights, they still sparkle like they're brand new. Original antenna, wiper arms and grill still shine bright. The hubcaps are mint. Tires are brand new.
INTERIOR: Okay, I'm sitting in the car and it is literally still like brand new condition. I am looking at a perfect, flawless dash right in front of me. All the painted metal is pristine, the chrome sparkles like it's brand new, steering wheel doesn't have any wear whatsoever. The knobs, lenses, radio, heater controls are spotless. I even took my flashlight and looked up under the dash, it is pristine. The heater cables and heater box, wires etc look brand new. Inside the glove compartment, like brand new. The door panels, armrests, window cranks are all brand new looking. The headliner and visors are mint. The upholstery has no wear or tear. There's no fading inside. The original rubber mat was upgraded with new carpet. When the carpet was out the floors were mint. It was claimed the back seat wasnt sat in.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has the optional V-8 289 motor. Runs as smooth as a Rolex watch. It has fresh fluids and filter. Motor compartment is very clean, not old and rusty looking. Has nice clean metal with factory finishes. All components look to be in good condition. Stock valve covers and air cleaner. Has windshield washer bag, factory wiring is like brand new.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk looks virtually brand new. All the metal has it's factory aqua paint in excellent shape, even under the mat. All the bits and pieces like latches, gas filler neck, tail light housings, wiring is pristine. The original rubber floor mat is excellent. Has jack and spare with new tire. The light group includes the trunk light, weatherstrip is in excellent shape.
UNDERSIDE: It is rock solid and original. It was completely undercoated at the dealer. New gas shocks in front.
There really is something special about an original, low mile car. A real car guy will appreciate it the most. I'm sure this would be an award winner at the yearly national Falcon show. You could have bragging rights of owning one of the lowest mile cars of the mid 60s!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
