I found this car at a show in North Carolina. I kept coming back to it for a few reasons. It's not like all the others, quality is real high and it is attractive. After much negotiating I was able to get the owner to let go of it and I'm glad he did. I love quality!
EXTERIOR: Extremely slick body and paint. It even feels slick like Teflon if you touch it. Run your hand across the nose stripe and you won't feel it. Jambs are slick. It's all metal, it's straight it all fits really well. Every single piece of trim, bumpers, the grill, lenses, emblems, handles are new. All new stainless trim, new correct antenna, taillights, SS gas cap, bumper gaurds etc. It features SS trim, cowl hood, spoilers, dual bowtie mirrors. All of the glass is new. All of the rubber weather strips, fuzzy window seals and gaskets have been replaced. A really nice looking set of new 14x7 Rally wheels set it off. Has all new trim the small derby cap and a set of new BFG white letter tires. It has a great stance.
INTERIOR: Meticulously restored from carpet to headliner. Rare strat-o-bench seat, basically 2 buckets attached with an armrest. You can sit close to your sweetie, fold down the armrest on the days your not getting along so swell. Beautiful dash area. Completely replaced instrument area. Full set of white faced gauges. Has electronic speedo and a tachometer. Only 3,300 miles since built. New polished tilt column with deluxe wheel and the shift indicator was replaced to match the overdrive shift pattern. The climate controls are all updated. The interior metal is painted as nice as the outside. Everything else is new- upholstery, door panels, headliner, dash pad etc. Actually it's all been replaced-the knobs, handles, window cranks, armrests, mirror, visors, even the chrome base to the visors have been replaced. It has a retro stereo with new speakers in the back deck. Has reproduction floormats too.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Beautiful! It certainly has a wow factor, decorated with an abundance of polished aluminum. The 350 packs a big punch. Has a polished high rise intake and a huge polished Holley carb. Upgraded HEI ignition system. Matching set of finned aluminum valve covers, air cleaner, breather caps and plug wire holders all look great. The front of the motor is full of modern polished aluminum components. Has 1 wire alternator, new a/c compressor, upgraded power steering system and billet brackets and pulleys with serpentine belt. A polished aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keep this motor cool. It has a flat firewall, custom braided dipstick to the trans, new wiper motor, new power brake system, new horns, new wiring etc. The bottom of the hood, inner fenders and firewall are smooth satin black. The jambs are just as glossy as the outside.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All metal trunk sprayed with the same color matched chip gaurd used on the underside. Has a new rubber mat. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb is just as glossy as the outside, new weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: It was removed from the frame for a complete restoration. The floors are all metal and coated with a color matched chip gaurd. Up front the suspension is completely rebuilt. Has upgraded rack and pinion steering and a sway bar. Bottom of the motor is still clean, new starter. Trans is upgraded to a 700R-4 overdrive automatic and has external cooler. In back it has a 10 bolt rear and new fuel tank. Shocks, brakes, brake lines, fuel lines are new. E-brake is hooked up. A set of coated headers hook to a Flowmaster exhaust system. It sounds great.
