Henry Ford not only put America in motion with the mass produced Model T, and Model A cars, he also increased America's productivity with his trucks. Much like the cars, the Model A trucks and utility vehicles served there purpose in America for a long time. The Model A trucks that succeeded the T's were more rugged, easier to operated and more reliable. Perhaps no other vehicle had more utility applications than Ford's Model A.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this stunning, 1931 Ford Roadster Pick Up for consideration. This car comes to us from a private collection centered around Model A's and has benefitted from an enthusiast driven, complete frame off, nut and bolt restoration completed approximately 15 years ago. Since the car has been the centerpiece of a Model A collection, driven in local parades and enjoyed on Sunday drives. The car is finished in classic Ford Maroon with Black Belt and Straw colored wheels. The interior is highly detailed and also features a wonderfully finished wooden bed floor. In short, This Roadster Pickup is outstanding in every way, cosmetically and mechanically. At the time of restoration, an authentic, old stock high compression Model A “Airplane” head was incorporated into the engine build.
The Ford Model A continues to be highly sought after in the collector car world. Their usability and reliability in todays market rival any vehicle from that era. The Roadster pick up is remains to be one of the most coveted of version of the “A”. The quality of the example offered here will not disappoint.
